Quad-Cities Online: Morthland, Illinois GOP say state can't afford Obamacare

Aaron Schock (R-Peoria) on Friday to call attention to budget pressure facing Illinois taxpayers due to Medicaid costs and the implementation of the federal Affordable Care Act. The legislators held a news conference Friday afternoon at the Quad City International Airport in Moline, one of several during a fly-around of the state... Rep. Cross said Illinois needs to do a better job controlling Medicaid costs, including improving verification of residence to get Medicaid benefits and implementing a co-pay for those who go to emergency rooms for non-emergencies.
